To your first question, if enough UST is swapped for Luna in a short enough time frame the cost to swap UST increases (i.e. you get less Luna per every UST swapped). If there’s a large enough outflow of UST, at some point it’ll be more profitable to swap UST for $.98 worth of BTC.
