So if, god forbid, fork actually happens, what happens to our current holdings on exchanges, and how will they perform airdrops if they don’t know our luna2 wallet addresses? Or if the said exchange doesn’t even list it which is very likely?

Vcs exchanges and big whales want more money. By any means, with any plans, forks or not , nobody care , everyone want to extract whatever will be add or left in the table.
