Proposal:
Better and safer to add the amount to the QR-code address, then payment can be done easier and quicker without errors, next step will be to integrate the QR-code into cashiers around the world

QR codes can be spoofed and can also be used to spread malicious code

Not if it is done properly, like a strict check sort of GET, anything can be spoofed, but this does not means that should not evolve securely.
BTW the QR-Code is already available, I am asking to add the amount of the transition.
