LUNC & USTC Rebuild Road Map Proposal

Fair enough, then we will have to agree to disagree.

You state that Deathstar_Daddy is “no leader and never will be a leader” so I assume you know him personally. I do not know him at all, but I do see leadership qualities from him in the way he has produced his proposal and tried to take it forward. I can only make judgments based on what I see/read.

My experience of projects run purely by developers is that they often fail on marketing, fundraising and project management/governance aspects. That is why in my opinion this can only be successful with a multi-disciplined team.

The leader needs leadership qualities not blockchain development experience.

Your points on needing voting enabled and a majority of validators on-board are well understood and have been discussed previously. But what you might not be aware of is that the software update that was installed on 13th May prevents any new validators from joining the network. So we still need enough of the current validators on-board in order to roll back that change.

I don’t know him and i don’t need to know him to know that luna is DPOS

DPOS= Decentralized Proof of Stake = NO LEADER

That must be the longer term goal I agree. This is not about leadership of the blockchain itself, it is about leading a team that can create a new future for Terra Classic.

Anyway, if you have a better plan/approach please do detail it as I am very keen to assist with a new way forward for Terra Classic, and will support any reasonable plan.

Most of proposal got buried with spam in station, I saw yours at Terra Station

Since voting time can expired in 5 days, I create new proposal to have 7 days time to vote for to bring LUNAC validators. My new proposal link is at Enable Stake - #14 by AIRevolt

This community doesn’t know how governing works, and people who stacked can vote only, so it sucks to be in this time.

I’m not leader too.
The community decides.
We can only create proposals on which the community decides.
However without voting and validotors under community control you can’t do anything.

Agreed

Just want to be clear. Is the voting system technically disabled by the dev team, or disabled by governance vote from community (including validators), or it is still enabled but validators are not willing to vote for anything related to LUNC?

It was disabled without a vote by TFL and the incumbent validators. That was done by the software update they installed on 13th May, during one of the blockchain pauses.

Staking is being disabled for anyone who wants to start participating in government.
So basicly only old stakers (mainly validators) can vote who doesn’t vote based on communities will but what Do is telling them.

Now all proposals are gone since it is on version 2 now. You need to spend new Luna to create new proposal. The old one are gone. Lol what a wipe out!

The most of voting links were on version 1 only.

They are stealing all resources from Luna Classic to their new chain

No, you just need to set the network to “classic” in your terra station wallet and then connect to the terra station portal and you will still see the proposals relating to the classic blockchain.

I know they are on V1. But in web app, there is no way to switch right now.

Can you guys believe they ask for 512 new Luna to get voting option for a proposal on Version 2?

they made luna v2 as default,…taking resources from luna classic and using it like it was theirs.

Indeed, all the links are broken now for version 1.

I managed to switch no problem. I just selected “classic” as the network in the Terra Station chrome extension and then connected to station.terra.money, and all the v1 stuff is there.

Thanks for making it clear. So who disabled the staking, validators? Assume I want to participate in the governance vote now, instead of delegating to a validator, can I just run my own validator using my LUNC for staking?

You can run the validators, but they switch off from the main to stack.

The dev team (under Kwon’s direction) produced a software patch that disabled delegation/staking on the classic blockchain, and the validators agreed to install the new software, thus making the change live.

No, you cannot run your own validator on the classic blockchain, as that same patch prevents new validator nodes from joining the network.

We need cooperation from enough of the existing validators on the classic blockchain to roll back to the previous version of the terra core software in order to undo those restrictions.
