Joint L1 Task Force Q2

I believe most of the people in this community will agree to the fact that although the L1 taskforce has beed funded in the past, their effort did not have an impact in price. I hardly believe we should focus in 1 maybe 2 different routings but NEVER 4 or 5 as we are doing right now. For the time being this is the ONLY L1 dev group we have but this clearly must be corrected in the future.

Funding, YES but since you are getting paid, I strongly ask for periodic detailed information and explanation on what are you spending your time. Not an announcement but a question; ¿Can we do this and that? That consist on
 and will cost XXX

I hope all the best for the community and ask you to stay focus on Lunc development.

Take care all,

It would be great if there is simple breakdown. 1-Most Critical tasks list -Timeline it may need. What problem it will solve. 2nd category tasks and its timeline. 3rd category tasks and timeline. Top priority and critical task should be on top priority.

Ex. Wasm update- 40 days aprx. -What it will solve and benefit. - Critical level -1

Luna V2 parity - 40 days aprx.- What it will solve and benefit - Critical level -1

USTC Repeg - 50 days aprx.- What it will solve and benefit - Critical level -1

Details mentioned in proposal is very technical and community may not able to understand those stuff and its use. Kindly do not misinterpret my comment. I do respect the L1 team and their time and work.

Wishing all the best.

You want a paid job with terraCvita valuation work
 Now I understand.
better, you and your friends want a guaranteed job for 2 years, to work on your own screenplay?
Shouldn’t the employer choose what you should work on?

no more hiring proposals that never end, let’s hire a workforce that works for the ecosystem with the guidelines of the investment community.

No sane person would agree to this. I mean, do you even hear yourself?
Developers maintain, upgrade and develop the chain. Price action - buying and selling pressure - is down to the user base to decide.
Their work allows for more utility, expansion, interested parties to join this chain.

Even children understand that a house stands on a foundation.

As a crypto novice, which most people here are I have some comments. I hear over and over again “Burn and Build”. Even CZ Binance says it.

  1. Can someone in the L1 task force explain how this will increase the burn rate. Current estimates of burn rate versus at the end of the second quarter burn rates.

  2. Can someone in the L1 task force explain how many applications are running now on Terra/LUNC and how many will be running when they are done at the end of the quarter (Like Terra Casino for example) how many more apps are coming on chain in the quarter? If the answer is zero then please say zero.

3, This prop is for developers not for the common person like me, language needs to be dumbed down more for people like me who represent 90% of the people reading this.

  1. How can people agree or disagree with this Q2 proposal until they know these facts or explanations?

  2. Cost benefit analysis is needed badly, we know the cost but not the benefits (more burn more on chain apps?) need to be explained, What will be different at the end of the quarter?

If the goal is to “burn and build” then what will be different at theend of the Q2 ?

Sincerely
Mark McDonnell

investments are made on top of functions as well.

If the price just goes down and there are no investors, it seems a clear response to spending on the work done on the foundations. :+1:

:bone:

Of what little they understand or care.
Yet, you explicitly stating your bias on the matter has cleared it all up, I’m certain.

So who controls the daily work and progress?

If the price of LUNC is 0.00012 at the end of Q2 assume you will get no more funding at all going forward and the team will need to be replaced. May I suggest performance based compensation based on burn rate, number of on cain apps/utility and price of LUNC ?

Can you address the question why 2.0.4 upgrade was not yet delivered in Q1(end February) as promised?

I have no problems with supporting Q2 plan, but I do believe that upgrades which were already paid for should have been there first.

After that discussion about Q2 can be moved forward. Or?

Thanks

I don’t wanna do this, but since you are leaving me with no other choice, I have to question the L1 Task Force Q1 before we move on to the Q2 work.

I am not gonna ask whether this was done or not because I am quite sure that this wasn’t done. In fact, as far as I remember, DJ Trev began moving out of the committee the first time you approved the payment without the approval of the Oversight Committee. Since I am not stupid, I understand why the Oversight Committee has moved away from this - it’s quite obvious they would not have approved of the payments after the first month, but you guys kept going. Ed, Marco and Jagmot approved the payments without any evidence of the work having been completed. Why would anyone do that if they did not have a personal interest in the money that was being paid to the developers? I wouldn’t even call this shady since it’s clearly mismanagement of money that was given to the custodian of the community (TGF) to use appropriately, not appropriate themselves.

“we are asking TGF to assist with reports, community engagement, and accountability”

TGF cannot, even if they wanna, move away from this now. It’s too late for that. You cannot dissolve a NGO to create an entity in the Cayman Islands and escape prosecution. It doesn’t work like that. Get a better lawyer than the one you have currently have, cause cases can be done retrospectively as well. Ask any proper lawyer if you want and he/she is gonna let you know that.

Before we move ahead with anything from the L1 Task Force and the TGF, I would appreciate it if TGF came forward and addresses the concerns below:

  1. Where are the reports?

  2. Where is the community engagement?

  3. Where is the accountability?

We (Terra Rebels) now have our infrastructure up and fully running as of 2 days ago, so whom from the L1 team will be reaching out to us to also help with these upgrades?

Yes for me!

I just want to raise an issue here for people to consider when voting for this proposal.

I asked Zaradar on Twitter whether this Q2 prop would also involve him working on the AI side-chain under community funding, as this issue is important to me.

Without being specific, Zaradar refused to deny he is intending to work on the AI side-chain under community funding for Q2. I asked repeatedly three times for him to clarify otherwise and he did not.

Therefore the only conclusion I can make is that if we vote for this prop for the L1 Team for Q2, we are also funding our L1 Team (Zaradar) to work on another chain. While this is claimed to benefit LUNC, it doesn’t change the fact this is a separate chain and is not LUNC.

Ed himself recused himself from the L1 Team to work on his AI chain without community funding, but Zaradar (if this proposal passes) would be under the community purse, and is intending to work on the AI side-chain under community funding.

This was not included in the scope of this proposal that our only full time developer is going to be working on another chain.

I personally do not want to fund an AI chain or AI development.

Please see these photos below and make your own decisions. Regards.

Literally listening to Kyle’s Spaces right now and @LuncBurnArmy is saying they are on a holiday currently.

First of all, @LuncBurnArmy how is the L1 Task Force on a holiday when everyone here is pointing out work that hasn’t been completed yet? You are on a holiday without work having been completed?

Additionally, I was listening to your conversation with Demonmonkey and others last night. When you left at first, I actually thought you had another meeting you were going to. I really appreciate it that you came back and finished the conversation. I am sure that you were offended by so many questions and thus left initially. I personally do not think there is anything wrong with your communication and you have done a good job defending the L1 Task Force over the last few days standing in the line of fire and taking one for the team.

At one point of time, I did not understand whether you represented the L1 Task Force or the TGF cause you were talking as if you are managing the affairs of both. I am aware that in the middle you refused to answer a question which was for TGF, but essentially everything else that you discussed including the question regarding the branding belonging to TFL or not, was related to the affairs of TGF.

I am saying this again. I do not know which team you represent, or whether you think you are representing the entire community for some reason, but it is my duty as a community member to let you know that you should not do that since we have not passed a proposal giving anyone the right to represent the overall community. We have also not passed a resolution giving TGF the rights to talk on behalf of the community. We haven’t reached that part yet. You will need to first pass a resolution/proposal stating that you represent the community and the community will vote on that. After that, you should talk on behalf of the overall community. In ALL other circumstances, the community speaks for itself.

From twitter of ZaradarBH:

“The work on the AI side-chain is intended to increase the economic value of Terra Classic, not partition it away, which is why the AI chain WILL NOT HAVE A CONSENSUS TOKEN. So this concern is perplexing for us as developers, because it brings more utility to the primary chain”

This is very important, that they do not release a new token. If this will be the way to work on the ai chain so yes, it can be helpfull for the lunc. But, please, do not release a new token!!

I think thats exactly the point. They are developers, not a full fledged organization. What good is a fantastic foundation if no one is pursuing the sales part of the organization, meaning getting dapps to onboard. Now we are just investing in laying foundation, without knowing who wants to build a house upon it afterwards

For me it’s an obvious “Yes”.

The L1 Task force has completed almost every single task as per their proposal that was agreed upon, except for a few more things that are just slightly delayed.

Everything that has been done so far in Q1 will serve as an important foundation for more things to come in Q2, including repeg, being used for payment (Dan Gerchcovich), AI chain (my guess is, smart contracts that are way more sophisticated can be made when real time AI is incorporated into it) etc.

I do not see any reason to disrupt the team’s composition when they are happy working with each other. Forcefully picking them apart right before things kick off is extremely counter productive.

I know the current price doesn’t reflect it at all, but I believe we are very much on track on everything. Let’s be patient and let L1 Task Force continue their work on Q2.
