The assumption that UST is backed by LUNA is wrong. UST creates the LUNAs that drives demand for more UST. At genesis of all investment properties start with having money before you take on the enterprise of a home financing business. The wrong thinking is that somehow LUNA will create value for UST. It does not. When the UST is worthless then so is the interest bearing instrument called the LUNA to people outside the Terra community. We need to anchor UST in collateral and create a stability insurance fund to pad the LUNA from “loopers” blowing up the LUNA economy. We cannot afford another AIG. See:

This sounds like my plan (posted on here) lol. It’s so similar to what I posted, which is only a summary of what will be my whitepaper document which summarizes what I would implement. The core details align with this. Bravo.
For LUNA to succeed UST must be repegged. Thankfully repegging UST can be achieved and fairly easily. I would use various funding tactics including outside funding from others within the Crypto space (preferred).

Guess it is only a few of us that think this is worthy of discussion. Everything rushed and panic, understandable and unfortunate. Whether a new Terra chain happens or does not happen I think much of this proposal is worth consideration, even as elements in possible new proposals.
