Terra Rebels Infrastructure Operations and Maintenance v2

Smoke it out!
How to get rids of the poisonous snakes in your house? Smoke it out! I totally agree with you Mr. RabbiJebediah

So why do people get paid 24/7 ?
At IBM, when on duty, we had low basic pay (because you sleep) and then a real pay, if any problem occured and you actually had to work.
Also, can any of the manual monitoring tasks be automated?

And you got paid the wages of a burger flipper?

Not sure why are you so negative.
As a lead dev in multiple fintechs in the past 10 years, I can assure you,
the cluster support human costs here are overrated and is presented to look good to
just be able to charge the $.
I would vote to create a voluntary taskforce, with price bids.
I am sure, somebody could do the job for less with same quality.

I am asking you a frank question - were you also paid the same as a burger flipper for 24/7 round the clock support.

If you say the prices are over inflated, you could surely point to an offer with competing prices.

Automation is a double-edged sword, yes you can automate a lot of things, but some you really should not and needs human intervention, just in the short period of time since we put this prop up we’ve had to step in and restart pods that have for no reason at all stopped syncing, or FCD that stalled, correct SQL issues, resolve CPU throttling issues, increase resources for certain pods, none of which could be done through automation or without monitoring round the clock, this infrastructure is a non-sleeping entity that needs tending to and watching over of 24/7 to ensure it runs smooth, many moving parts to a well oiled machine.

Yeah bro that’s all fine and dandy… now can you answer where the previous funds went to?

$150,000 community money y’all pocketed.

$100,000 payouts from Neblio over a couple months.

And what I’m interested in most – and the community REALLY deserves an answer on this! – what happened to the money Rexx and Kraucs returned? Tens of million of LUNC ended up back in TR’s wallet. I want to see transactions showing y’all returned that to the community pool. You did return it to the CP, right? You wouldn’t have just pocketed that, right? Right?

Please respond @echel0n and don’t ignore my questions like you did above.

As its been said many times before, the $150K was a flat-rate project price to produce and deliver a working infrastructure and Rebel Station wallet app, there was no material cost assigned to the $150k, any funds that were returned to us by our members where divide among the team members at their request, any funds returned to the CP by team members you will need to go to speak to them about, again the $150k was a flat-rate to complete the work.

While it may sound like a silly suggestion, have you considered streaming the important statistics that the community members monitor for free on platforms like Twitch or YouTube? As long as the chat is active, there will always be someone available to keep an eye on things. By doing so, we could save some money from the community pool that would otherwise be spent on salaries for monitoring.

Monitoring is more then just watching screens, its being proactive and reactive, plus requiring access to resolve issues, and we already put out a dashboard Infrastructure Node Status

Our prop has passed, thanks to all that supported us and believed in what we do, we will get to work right away and start off by upgrading our infrastructure on 04/26 PST, exact time has not been determined but we will make an announcement on our support forums and on twitter, again thank you!

Not related to the proposal, but there’s been rumblings about RS being offline recently - stress tests and whatnot you performed.

Is there a possibility of adding a message in RS on such cases? “Back after maintentance” or some such note in RS
Twitter or Forums aren’t so easily reached if you don’t know where to look for.

Can you please take a look at that PR now?

The parasites surrounding Luna Classic were devastatingly swarming right now. Hard to find a way out. Deeply hope that only Binance will come to eliminate this terrible disease.

What nonsense you sprout.

Binance does not take over chains or do charity. It’s a centralized exchange working across the globe.

Besides promoting good stories in crypto (such as Terra Classic) - the rest is a delusion from you, promoted by an early crypto investor on Twitter. That’s his job. He is the CEO. He is there to represent and schill. Not to take over community owned, decentralized chains since moonbois tweet at him.

Decentraliez (LunC) = Free for stealing! Go ahead.

On the next planned maintenance windows could you please set the station DNS entries to redirect to https://status.terrarebels.net/ and set a banner at the top indicating the main site is down due to planned maintenance…

It would help avoid any confusion with those in the community not following Twitter

I 110% agree with this idea, we will look further into a solution around this that helps let the community know when a maintenance update is happening and when it will finish, thank you
