@echel0n The other guy’s changes which I merged, submitted the PR on December 19th. I have resolved the conflicts.

And now, the Spam Proposals show like this. The links are hidden.

This is an extremely important change that you NEED to merge immediately so that people can avoid spam props as much as possible.

P.S. I am wondering why wasn’t it done for 4 months

Enjoy your Easter. You can get back later with this. I’ll continue with resolving the PRs.

Just pull everything at the end, build it and push it to production.

That’s all you need to do.

Get back and check my PR when you can. The immediate changes required are there.

@echel0n

I have also tested whether it is building or not.

All conflicting changes merged. All you need to do now is pull this PR (my branch), build it and push it to production. Please do this, cause the wallet looks really good after all these changes. I have left out a few branches which I shall take a look at later.

Right now, we have:

A Status page

A Splash screen while loading initially

Fuzzy URL Spam Detection

So please do this for us and push all these changes whenever you get the time.

Consider if you don’t need RS. Jared in the tweets of December 6, 2022, he directly urges you to better use RS for that moment.

I dont think this will do you any good to move the convo to your own “Agora2”.

Actually its our dedicated support forums, I really don’t see the issue with this, not about to sit around well this and other posts on this server keep getting locked down for hours on end.

I think it would be good to have a zoom/ youtube live meeting for Lunc holders to meet with Terra Rebels to get to the know the developers and build up trust too.

What did you say why RS we have TS? TS takes care of the TCV and is fine. TCV creates the Terraport. Terraport has just been hacked. Also kudos to the community and of course TCV. Thanks to you, money is now circulating on stock exchanges and will eventually go to warm countries. You have your people dealing with TS. If this doesn’t work, I’m going to binance. Shame. Now on the rebel discord they are looking for your money in wallets. Donkeys

If you’re migrating away from this Agora you need to take over and load the historic data from TFL as well. Also, this is the URL mentioned in the raised proposal so it needs to be the one used for now…

PS: Worth keeping the name the same “Agora” i.e. agora.terrarebels.net

I think the proposal is fair. I’ve been in IT for 26 years, and I have seen incredible improvements in desktop RebelStation over the past few weeks. So far, the team has been very responsive and diligent and has fixed a few things I’ve mentioned on the Discord. TR Station and network was up when TL was down hard. I think this team is doing great.

Its possible to lower a bit the total wages per months for each individual into amount below:

  • Echel0n: USD 3,600 ($15.00 per hour, 240 hours per month, 30 days a month)
  • BeeJee: USD 2,640 ($11.00 per hour, 240 hours per month, 30 days a month)
  • Raider70: USD 2,640 ($11.00 per hour, 240 hours per month, 30 days a month)

Total Wages: USD 26,640 (USD 8,800 per Month)

And for the running cost i would probably advise to lower it 20% cause the amount proposed now is quite high for infrastructure maintanence.

@Kelvin_Ce

In regards to the wages, we all have day jobs and family, amongst other things in life outside of this, with that being said, the prices are set to at the amounts specified to make these tasks worth the effort and time taken away from our other aspects of life, and they are fair when you actually compare them to what someone with the skillset required to manage and maintain a Kubernetes is paid.

As to the running costs, the pricing is cheaper then you would pay for hosted systems with NVMe storage, far cheaper actually, considering we have 10+ servers racked, not to mention all the networking gear, plus all connections are fiber optics.

What we provide is quality, you do get what you pay for, when it comes to infrastructure, I do not plan for now, I plan for future scalability, this is why we decided on a Kubernetes cluster with distributed storage, we tested standalone hosted solutions and found that over time to scale those it would become very costly and poor use of resources.

One of the risks specified after the crash was that TFL might not keep Terra Station up to date for Lunc. This risk is mitigated by providing an alternative interface to remain able to access your (communities’) wallets. It seems like a waste to make them build it, and then not continue to maintain it…

If it was owned by the chain then i would agree. however TR as an org needs to figure out their funding solutions and sustainable business plan without the need for continued CP payment.

TR made it clear they are a commercial entity no longer volunteers. You guys need to go and figure out your business case it has nothing to do with this community. Besides quite seriously before you should get your hands on any more community pool funding you would need to answer to this community about the last lot of funding received after which you simply dropped off the radar not feeling the need for any level of transparancy or accountability. Time to wake up and step up if you want to continue this play.

The previous prop was for 150k to do the work, the community voted yes on that prop, nowhere in that prop did it say how those funds would get spent or could get spent, you can’t go to your mechanic and pay them to fix your car and then micro-manage what they can and can’t do with the funds you paid them so why do you think that would fly here? bottom line is we delivered exactly what we said we would, like we said we would, and continue to work and deliver.

As for this new prop, is details exactly what work will be done, whom will get paid, and how much, so not sure where there is lack of transparency there, and well this prop is up for vote, we continue to do work regardless of the FUD that keeps coming our way!
