Wormhole transactions to Terra: Why so expensive?

I tried the Wormhole Bridge today and bridged $LUNA to Solana and back to Terra. It was a small amount of less than 20 $LUNA.

One notable observation: Bridging back to Terra cost me c. 0.5 $LUNA . These are the tx fees purely on the Terra Blockchain.

Question: What can be done to bring the cost down? And who would be able to look into this closer (Terraform Labs?) ?

A lot of people in the wormhole discord are asking the same thing. No one seems to understand why the Terra withdrawal side fees are so high. A couple people were trying to bridge over just $5-$20 worth of UST and lost more than that on fees.
