Joint L1 Task Force Q2 Proposal with Amendments

Maybe the leash is too short. But this is only at the beginning of the quarter. This keeps the team in good shape. Over time, control will return to normal. If, of course, the team is complete. If not, it is fraught with scandal.

Day 2 / 90 L1 Development Team Community Review

  1. Vinh is working, but I do not see Frag’s work till now anywhere today. But this shall be considered, since I have seen that he has already done a lot of the required work for chain simulations

  2. LBA has been working organizing the Projects section on the Github accout and putting tasks into their proper tasks list. The Kanban board looks good. He has also done an AMA today

  3. 1 out of 6 developers were working today, unless you show GitHub commits that prove me wrong. Also, the Project Manager has been working today. Thus,

I have calculated for you how much in fiat you will need to refund to the community for the Day 2 / 90 of work which was not done:

1 full time developer (need replacement) at a rate of $12.5K USD per month:
$78.125 USD per hour @ 160 hours per month (8 hours per day x 5 days a week x 4 weeks) x 8 hours
= $625 USD

1 part time developer (Superman) at a rate of $6.25K USD per month
$78.125 USD per hour @ 80 hours per month (4 hours per day x 5 days a week x 4 weeks) x 4 hours
= $312.50 USD

Discretionary budget – 1 part time junior developer at a rate of $1.25k USD per month x 2 devs
$15.625 USD per hour @ 80 hours per month (4 hours per day x 5 days a week x 4 weeks) x 4 hours x 2 devs
= $125 USD

Total to be Refunded to Community Pool for work not done on Day 2 / 90 = $ 625 + 312.50 + 250 + 125 USD
= $ 1,062.50 USD

**NOTES:** As far as I understand from the GitHub Kanban board, IBC is supposed to be opened between LUNC and Kujira. Please confirm this and also confirm if there are plans to open up any more IBC connections with other blockchains

I will no longer continue this conversation. it’s absurd to base someone’s work on a github commit.

Not if it is a DEVELOPMENT team doing DEVELOPMENT work.

I disagree with you on a bunch of topics, but it’s good someone’s keeping the L1 accountable. :+1:

Keep it up! Hopefully you’ll track all 90 days of their “progress”, and how much money they have to return.

No it isn’t, it’s the only way to track actual progress.

Btw there is already a fiat on-ramp on the Interstation wallet. The changes have not been pushed to the Chrome Web Store but this is how it looks right now in development. I haven’t done anything. I was just checking the development version and saw this. So it was already implemented. The UI also looks different now.

Nice dude. Frankly you are proving to me now you should have got that PM job.

Tbh I dunno what LBA is doing since he hasn’t even moved all of the cards on the Kanban board or contacted TerraCasino or knows anything about Kujira. He doesn’t even know about the max contract size properly. It does not take 3 days to do this work. It takes 1 hour. Wait for my report today.

In fact, he seemed extremely underprepared for the AMA yesterday. His mind was wandering or I dunno but he sounded like his thoughts were floating away as he was talking.

Probably out buying his wife a new mink coat from LUNC CP money. :joy:

Who is this? Can you solve the mystery?
After all, we already pay him money. Big money.

I don’t think so. I would tell him to take a course on how to be a good manager because I wouldn’t hire him with his attitude.

Listen to Z and listen to the truth behind the max contract size proposal

It’s LIVE so you can hear it from him whether I was correct or not.

He’s talking about it right now. You will get to know about LBA’s incompetence.

Day 3 / 90 L1 Development Team Community Review

  1. Vinh and Frag have both worked today and they are working on the same code changes related to pushing changes upstream to validators

  2. LBA has NOT been working today or there is no public evidence of whether or not he has worked. As I had mentioned before, he has NOT:
    a. Updated the Kanban Board any further
    b. Hired any more developers
    c. Told us the truth in the AMA last day that Superman is working though there is absolutely NO public evidence to suggest that
    d. Talked to TerraCasino about their proposal
    e. Checked with the L1 developers (currently Vinh and Frag) whether or not the max contract size change has any adverse effects on the blockchain or not
    f. Contacted Kujira to check whether or not IBC needs to be opened up and what is the exact scope of work (this work is pending on the Kanban board from the 28th of February)

I have to finally say that I do not see any reason for needing a Project Manager to manage 2 developers. LBA is not even tweeting for the L1 Team or something like that just to make himself useful. This is the least productivity I have seen from a human being.

I’m sorry but today’s remuneration for LBA cannot be possibly considered in the calculation below.

  1. 2 out of 6 developers were working today, unless you show GitHub commits that prove me wrong. Also, the Project Manager has NOT been working today. Thus,

I have calculated for you how much in fiat you will need to refund to the community for the Day 3 / 90 of work which was not done:

1 full time developer (need replacement) at a rate of $12.5K USD per month:
$78.125 USD per hour @ 160 hours per month (8 hours per day x 5 days a week x 4 weeks) x 8 hours
= $625 USD

1 part time developer (Superman) at a rate of $6.25K USD per month
$78.125 USD per hour @ 80 hours per month (4 hours per day x 5 days a week x 4 weeks) x 4 hours
= $312.50 USD

1 part time project manager (LuncBurnArmy) at a rate of $5.0K USD per month
$62.5 USD per hour @ 80 hours per month (4 hours per day x 5 days a week x 4 weeks) x 4 hours
= $250 USD

Discretionary budget – 1 part time junior developer at a rate of $1.25k USD per month x 2 devs
$15.625 USD per hour @ 80 hours per month (4 hours per day x 5 days a week x 4 weeks) x 4 hours x 2 devs
= $125 USD

Total to be Refunded to Community Pool for work not done on Day 1 / 90 = $ 625 + 312.50 + 250 + 125 USD
= $ 1,312.50 USD

“Station on-ramp investigation and completed proof of concept”

You had stated this as “Primary Benefits anticipated by the End of Q2” in your proposal to us. I have shown above how this feature is already available in the latest Terra Station development build.

If someone like me had not gone and bundled the terra-station react native files (which is highly unlikely since no one has touched it for 2 years), no one would have known that the on-ramp feature already exists in the unreleased version.

Now, whether this is callousness on your part, or an informed decision that you took to include this in your Q2 plan, that I do not know. But this is not something which can be included as a feature for which you need to work for. You can talk to TFL and ask TR to integrate this in Rebel Station. So, this is not your work, nor is this the work of the L1 Team.

Thus, I have calculated how much this one feature amounts to in the third month of Q2 and while doing so, given myself the liberty to assign weight(s) to the different tasks outlined in the third month of Q2.

If you have any doubts about this assigned weightage to each item in the list below for Q2 Month 3, you can let me know and I shall explain further, but according to my observations, this is the respective weightage for the items mentioned by you:

Update Luna Classic developer documentation – 0%
Assess migration path for Tendermint => CometBFT – 30%
Research options for bridging cross-chain liquidity (i.e., Axelar, Portal bridge/wormhole) – 30%
Review on-ramp technologies for Classic Station and develop proof-of-concept – 30%
Prepare Q3 budget and agora proposals – 0%
Finalize Q2 work and schedule agora posting and proposal vote for Q3 funding – 0%

According to the weightage assigned to each item, I have calculated for you how much in fiat you will need to refund to the community for the item “Review on-ramp technologies for Classic Station and develop proof-of-concept” of Q2 Month 3 for work which was already done when you quoted for it:

Total Budget - $ 124,800 USD
Q2 Month 3 Budget (if assumed equal in all months) - $ 124,800 ÷ 3 = $ 41,600 USD
Weightage assigned to “item” x Budget for Q2 Month 3
= $ 41,600 x 30%
= $ 12,480 USD

Total to be Refunded to Community Pool for work not done on Day 3 / 90 (which includes the item “Review on-ramp technologies for Classic Station and develop proof-of-concept” of Q2 Month 3) = $ 1,312.50 + 12,480 USD
= $ 13,792.50 USD

NOTES

  1. Please add “bump terra.js version” to the the GitHub Kanban board and please ask the developers to check how this can be done

  2. IBC is supposed to be opened between LUNC and Kujira. Please confirm this and also confirm if there are plans to open up any more IBC connections with other blockchains

RECOMMENDATION

You will not be able to do this without Zaradar and everyone knows this. I would also assume that you have already offered Zaradar the position of the Lead. If you haven’t done so yet, I think you should do that. You have mentioned:

“$37.50k = $12.5k (need replacement) x 3 months”

If Zaradar joins, then you cannot increase this figure for the time being since this is what you have committed to us for the position of Lead Developer. So do not come and say after this that Z has agreed to join as a consultant at a higher salary than this. I am letting you know that in advance.

If he wishes to work with us at this salary, then this is what you shall pay him according to your contract with the community.

P.S.

As you can understand, I am the one who had protested to Z joining this iteration of the L1 Team, but now, I am the one who is recommending you to take him in the team as the Lead dev.

This is the time to be practical since you guys are seriously struggling without a lead dev like him. You, LBA, are not even being able to converse with the devs on Git like Z used to.

So talk to him, and if he wants to work, ask him to do that.

This is also the only way for you to make me stop doing this, since I will not stop unless I am absolutely sure you are doing what you are supposed to do. If a lead dev WITH A FACE like Z joins the team, then I have less reasons to complain about your work, and I will do this report weekly rather than daily.

So, you decide what you wish to do. I have stated my observations and my recommendations.

Since all the Community Oversight Commitee spaces are vacant - can we nominate this guy to take over @LuncBurnArmy @fragwuerdig @ek826

This is exactly the transparency and accountability we should have had from the beginning. I might have not always agreed with Arundaybasu but this is great work.

Hello sir, are you getting paid to do this? If not you certainly should be! I would like to personally Thank you for your dedication and looking forward for more of your reviews. They can’t just sit on their ass and do nothing while leeching from the community!

Thank you again,
