That’s not what the post says.
It’s more like:

HINT: No mention of further dev on it, it’s just a get-out of our way…
and,
“We’ll take over the existing one because we need to do things that break your use case…”
All and all is a lifeline while we take over and have our own station. Therefore this proposal needs to proceed as scheduled.
