You make some valid and good points, and I really like people who think critically, but you drown those points in spam, seems you are biting on every comma people write up. A team manager could be put in charge of looking at the resumes, choosing the correct developers for the assigned tasks and that the developers are doing their job and meeting the objectives of the community. If those objectives are not met, offer an explanation of why it cannot be achieved on time. create a well detailed and intuitive roadmap about the future of the blockchain and updates.

I’ll speak to this. What we’re looking for from Jacob is to retain him for access to his expertise and insight, particularly around handling the WASM upgrade and getting the chain to parity and ensuring that we do it without risking any WASM state. We don’t want to put forth any release to the community that doesn’t have Jacob’s sign off on that release. This helps create an additional layer of certainty around the release, and also makes sure that every release is scrutinized by a second set of eyes that isn’t just us that also cares about and has a vested stake in this blockchain and the wider Cosmos ecosystem.
If that type of retainer engagement shakes out to a couple hours of Jacob’s time per month because he’s just that good at what he does, then so be it. If it ends up being more of his time, then it ends up being more of his time. He understands the type of arrangement he’s getting into with this and knows what he can and can’t deliver on. The $5,000 per month is chump change compared to having confidence and certainty in the security of our chain upgrades and ensuring that nothing goes wrong when the upgrades happen - especially around achieving parity.
