Expanded L1 Task Force Spending Prop for Q2 2023 [v2]

How do you know they are developers? Are you a developer too? You need a CV, that’s all.

What is your age exactly? How old are you? Serious question. Not at all being sarcastic. I will wait for a truthful reply on this.

Come now that is just a childish rebuttal, what about addressing his point ? Both profiles still exist.

Snake, for one, explained his experiences further up in this thread. To post a CV, or to go further in details, would be akin to doxxing, which you cannot impose on someone.
Let’s wait to see if the others dev will come to answer some of the community questions !

The reason I ask this is, what did you ask? What answers did you get? How do you know you are a developer? You don’t know this business, but you think they know. we are not developers. That’s why a team of developers or someone who is an expert on the subject should make the recruitment.

am I wrong!!!

This is enough nonsense now.

Sorry Rabbi.

I am reporting you because you won’t stop until authorities stop you, so you have exactly 24 hours from now that I report you. You can do whatever the f(ck you wanna do.

I’d suggest deleting both proposals and not putting up any more proposals on Agora.

Otherwise you can talk to your country’s authorities about this in details.

I am not gonna interfere in this process anymore. They will do the needful after the report has been filed. If they don’t pursue it I can’t help it, then that’s your luck. All the best.

If you are not Rabbi, please do not interfere in this. You are clearly not reading anything that I am saying here, and wearing blinders like horses do in a race.

Good. Glad you know that now. Now please don’t interfere in this if you don’t want your nameless name to be dragged into this, for vouching for these devs. If this conversation is checked, then YOU are the one who is saying that you have talked to them, not me. Now if you are intelligent you shall understand. Otherwise you shall be reliant upon fate, like Rabbi is right now.

That’s right. And @Steven_K is absolutely correct and I am wrong. I did not check it properly.

Just that, none of them are blockchain devs and Rabbi lied to us.

Since you and I can both see their comments above, read it again and determine for yourself whether they said anything about blockchain development till now or not.

I asked politely the questions I had in mind, and had adequate responses.

As for their experience, well I have some development experience myself, admittedly not on blockchain or anything related to blockchains, but enough to understand that Bilbo is very knowledgeable, and that SolidSnake’s and NotJoshC’s skillsets are easily applied to L1 work, and that the skills of the whole team is more important than one individual.

And if Vinh and Superman are on board, and Jacob nonetheless, then the team has enough experience, as they’re all senior devs, to be very efficient if they organize themselves well.

And what’s more, we have a bigger team with this proposal, with most devs agreeing to work for cheap as a gesture of goodwill, on a prop where all the fluff has been removed. I’m personally very confident about this, although we’re still going to scrutinize their results in two months, according to this prop !

If we consider that society is not a developer, I would like to say that it acts without knowing. Unfortunately, we do not have a knowledgeable management about recruitment. I have reservations about Gadikan. For his comments on Allnodes and more. I hope it will be good for society. Seems like a gamble to me in many ways.

Bilbo has my full CV and GitHub account, as well as links to install my released Android and iOS personal projects and websites I’ve made. My open source projects are available to anyone on GitHub, however I will not doxx myself until we have a GitHub repo.

The only thing he doesn’t have is access to the professional software products that I do not own as they are proprietary to the companies I’ve worked at and/or still work for.

Rexx I appreciate the sentiment but keep it constructive. If you have nothing to add don’t derail the thread? This is not your little discord hugbox where you can boss around.

CV is just a term I use for understanding. I don’t think there is a society that is competent enough to examine github or the places you work. Recruitment should be made by those who are experts and knowledgeable in the subject. It should be conveyed to the society in a simple way that the society can understand. I want you to understand that I did not write for reasons such as discrediting or attacking as others do.

Situations such as opening the account in agora today, changing the picture, deleting the account are unimportant.

maybe a representative should be chosen and a team issue should be opened. they should introduce you to the community under this heading. what is your mission? What are your past experiences and interests? I think that someone who will introduce you briefly will eliminate these discussions in the community.

I hope you can understand what I mean. my english is not very good. :joy: :man_shrugging:

An interview based on arguments related to blockchain could be done to determine the knowledge about it and about the abilities to use some type of programming language.

it would be great. I would love to see the community develop at this level. I like the idea. I hope one day we can see communities organize events like this. :joy: :man_health_worker: :construction_worker_man:

Your english is grand btw.
These guys so far were clear that they dont wish to be doxxed. It is take it or leave it. One of them volunteered to work Q2 for free. I think we should give these guys the same amount of trust as we did with zaradar. Vinh, superman and frag were not known to the community back then either. They came recommended by the remaining bunch. I dont know whats the fuss now. If they fail after 2 months, we will find a replacement while the rest of the team finish the job on overtime (using the money pool of the people that left). This is how it was in Q1 (superman was missing for 6 weeks).

I respect your opinion, dont get me wrong. I just think we are over thinking the recruitment process because Zaradar and Ed have disappointed us and these guys pay the price of this.

Hello! I’m Mangochutney. Nice to meet you all. I’ve been a holder of LUNC since the crash last year in May, and am excited to have the chance to help get the chain back on track. Just to give a bit of background about me, I’ve been a software engineer for over 10 years, with an interest on the fintech and crypto space. I’ve worked on websites and mobile apps. I’m particularly experienced with Javascript, Python, and Go, but I’ve also worked in other languages beyond that. Whatever’s needed to get the job done. I’ve also written my share of Solidity and have enjoyed working with the Ethereum blockchain and writing smart contracts for it. Regardless of how this proposal turns out, thanks for the consideration!

I am glad that I can be understood. thanks. Developers may not want to take charge, especially because of attacks on their private lives, skills and knowledge, which insult the people we assign as developers. and they are right. I think society needs to mature at this point. I hope this maturity is reached. Attacks on Twitter are particularly extreme. I’m always up for criticism, insults are not acceptable.

What a pleasure to see and read. Such information will be of great help to us. Welcome and I hope you are considered properly. Everyone is needed to contribute to the community and the chain.

For me the community has disappointed more than the developers

Now we are gonna PAY people to LEARN blockchain development. I see. Good job community. Keep it up. This is exactly what we needed :smiling_face_with_tear: Money is basically paper. It has no value in general, so can be blown like this. No issues. It’s not your money anyway.

If we have to pay Jacob $1,000 per hour for a few hours per month, why not just pay Zaradar 13k per month?

Zaradar doesn’t do a few hours per month. He does a few hours per DAY. And that’s what we were complaining about.

And now, we are hiring someone after rejecting Zaradar who is basically gonna give us 1/100th of the work Zaradar gives us in a month.

I dunno whether you guys are high on Valium right now. There is no other explanation for this behaviour.

How can society assess the qualifications of specialists in order to assess the qualifications of specialists? An additional team is needed to evaluate the qualifications of specialists from the team for assessing the qualifications of developers. And so on to infinity

I have nothing against Zaradar or Jacob (neutral on everything as long as it works on a macro level), but, where is this info coming from?
